Membership Information

Your membership and financial support help us achieve our collective mission positively impacting the Hastings Pickleball community.  Thank you for your continued support. 

We could not do this without YOU!

For only $25/resident and $40 non resident per year, you can join HPBA to help organize the sport in Hastings. Just click the button below to become a member. 

Your membership plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the pickleball facilities within the Hastings community. An annual membership contribution supports community pickleball events and initiatives that foster community engagement, health, and well-being for individuals of all ages and skill levels.

As a member, you'll gain access to exclusive events, activities, and privileges throughout the year.

 In 2024 HPBA accomplishments include:

  • Worked with Hastings Parks Department to improve facilities at Roadside Park including:

    • Implemented the paddle rack system to assist with open play​

    • Added court dividers to prevent balls from rolling into other courts

    • Added windscreens to improve play

    • Added medical equipment to the courts to improve player safety

    • Improved bathroom facilities

    • Added electrical outlets to support court maintenance e.g. blowers to remove debris

    • Helped organize summer and fall leagues

  • Organized first annual Rivertown Days pickleball tournament​

  • Facilitated morning open play with up to 60 players attending in the morning

  • HPBA members organized round robin tournaments on Fridays and Saturdays

  • Worked with the YMCA and Community Ed to create winter play opportunities

 

In 2025 HPBA accomplishments include:

  • Added Picnic Tables, Umbrellas and Benches at Roadside Court

  • Added Storage Shed at Roadside Courts

  • Newly custom painted electrical box at the court entrance

  • Tennis Shoe Reclamation Program-we sent 100’s of pairs of tennis shoes to a program that separates good shoes for those in need from junk shoes that get recycled for another use.

  • Facilitated Play Time Scheduler app for flexible player time scheduling. 

  • Continued City organized leagues and tournaments

  • Offered monthly Round Robins for adults and young players

  • Held Youth Pickleball clinic outdoors.

  • Added a Spring Dink Off-Outdoor season kick off event and a Fall Tournament

  • Worked with Parks department to improve lighting at Roadside Park​

  • Organizing more winter play opportunities.

Membership Fee is a tax deductible contributes to a non-profit 501c3 organization
